We are a group of cooks and travelers dedicated to sharing culture, stories, and laughter over a good meal.
Staying healthy and saving money on the road is everyone’s goal. We got sick of eating pasta and tomato sauce while traveling so we started collecting recipes from fellow travelers.
Here you will find recipes with limited, local ingredients. All recipes shown here we’ve prepared in hostels while travelling. So we understand many of the hiccups that come while cooking in a hostel kitchen.
Check out the entrees section for dinner recipes, the lunches for good on-the-go lunches for buses or daypacks, and the sides page for great side dishes to accompany your entrées.
Check out the Food Market page for information on identifying, selecting, and preparing fruits and vegetables that you find in local markets.
Please enjoy the recipes on this website, comment with any suggestions / stories / recommendations, we’d love to hear from you. And if you have a recipe of your own, please email it to us, and include a bio of yourself and we’ll post it!
Until next time, take care!

Here you will find easy to prepare recipes for travelers. We have been backpacking on and off for almost five years gathering recipes in hostel kitchens wherever we go. We've included all of our favorite hostel recipes.
We try to use only a couple ingredients and to keep everything healthy. Vegetables can be few and far between when traveling.
If you have a recipe to add, please do!
